Manage a $2M book of subscription business (account management and new sales) with large-cap pharmaceutical, medium-cap specialty pharmaceutical and small-cap biotech firms across the US.

  • Account management: build and maintain strong relationships with clients and problem-solve with them to ensure we are helping solve their toughest tactical and strategic issues.
  • New Sales: identify new potential clients and have consultative discussions to understand their strategic imperatives and objectives, and explore how GLG can help them solve them.
  • Represent GLG and create new business opportunities at large partnership conferences (BIO in Philadelphia, Bionetwork East in Miami, Bionetwork West in California, PSA in New York, etc.).
  • Manage one business development associate, responsible for her learning and development, performance to metrics and growth within the firm. Lead on boarding of all new hires.
  • Partner with Research and Strategy team to develop new product offerings and customer theses, create standard operating procedures for the division and build marketing materials.
  • Achievements: Mid-year 2015 tracking at 60% performance to target. Sold largest single deal in Life Sciences’ group history to CEO of top-20 pharmaceutical firm.

  • Managed the entire sales cycle: from customer acquisition strategy, lead generation and account mapping to pitches, procurement, negotiation, contracting, signature and initiation of relationship.
  • Mentored and Trained five new Business Development Associates that joined the team, from first week on boarding through 6-month review.
  • Led new initiative tailored at small-cap biotech firms which included collecting Evaluate Pharma financial and scientific data to develop customer thesis, target clients and execute sales strategy.
  • Achievements: First salesperson to hit goal and exceed the most (130%). Transformed Top-5 Pharmaceutical client from 0 relationships/$0k to 5 relationships/$400k during 2014 calendar year

Supported a Vice President of Business Development to manage a $2M book of subscription business (account management and new sales) with pharmaceutical, medtech and biotech firms across the US.

  • Played support role for account management and new sales activities including: lead generation and prospect identification, cold calling, meeting scheduling, meeting preparation, material creation, etc.
  • Led prospect pitches after 6 months in role after achieving internal milestones. Shortly thereafter got ownership of account management for large accounts in close partnership with Research team.
  • Achievements: GLG Life Sciences Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award for 2013; First Associate in Life Sciences’ group history to close new logo and $100k+ deal in first year.
