Anahita is currently working at CARE Bangladesh as the Coordinator, Advocacy and Communications, after a stint in teaching. She is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to promote CARE Bangladesh programming and organizational principles. But at night- she bakes delectable desserts for sugaraddicts around town through her venture Des’ree Daily Desserts. She worked for multinational companies, which exposed her to tangs and talents of people of other cultures –it proved an enlightening experience. It also developed her as a team player, open to working with different cross-functional teams. It was also imperative for her to develop communication strategies for different products and consumers of different socio-economic classes. She additionally had to identify communication mediums and to design key performance indicators measuring the performance. In response to the nature of the industry Anahita worked in, it was essential on a daily basis in her roles at British American Tobacco & Ogilvy, that: she must had and strongly implement the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. She made effective, persuasive presentations on complex topics to client, top management, public groups, on a regular basis. She completed her Masters in Marketing at Australian School of Business at University of New South Wales at Sydney, Australia. The degree is partially research-based, focusing on streams in brand management, services and B2B marketing, decision support analytics, new product development. She was also elected as Marketing Manager, for Graduate Student Association, at ASB. Anahita is an avid music lover & a voracious reader. Her years as a radio compere, earned praises as a great presenter. She loves Asian food however she loathes even the thought of cooking. Her most recent interest is Lomography, a rejuvenated, old style of analogue photography.
