Build a membership base while servicing current members. Including building member webpages, offering coop advertising opportunities, and aiding in building members' photo libraries. Administrator of explorelacrosse.com. Created a new grant program, worked with Grant Committee and aided area event planners in the grant application process. Write press releases, copy content, and newsletters.
Created a departmental budget of over $500,000 and reconciled accounts to keep in line with the current year's budget. Supervised one full-time and two part-time staff members. Worked with a Tourism Commission providing monthly reports, creating agendas and facilitating meetings making sure open meeting laws were complied with. Worked as the media liaison for interviews.
Created a three-year marketing plan, aided in budget planning, developed special events, wrote surveys to be statistically relevant and wrote reports on the findings in a manner that could be easily understood, wrote RFPs, annual reports, press releases, e-newsletters, web content to increase SEO and articles. Created brochures, print and digital ads. Worked with a marketing group to create an annual Onalaska Visitor Guide magazine. Sold ad space in a visitor guide and as coop opportunities for local businesses. Worked with ad reps, strengthened relationships with local lodging and meeting facilities, and developed professional partnerships to decrease costs and improve the visitor experience. Worked with a web developer to design discoveronalaska.com. Worked with outside associations such as Bike4Trails group, DNR, US Fish & Wildlife, WI Great River Road, and more.
Recruited, organized and supervised many volunteers and interns. Produced an alumni magazine, wrote press releases and worked as a media liaison. Organized special events (banquets, festivals and fundraising events). Designed print ads, pamphlets, promotional displays, posters and wrote copy for radio ads. Webmaster for AquinasCatholicSchools.org and trained staff at five locations how to utilize the CMS. Worked with web developer on the design of aquinascatholicschools.org, created the site map.
I worked at several radio stations owned by Midwest Family during my tenure there, ending my time as Music Director for Z-93 (WIZM-FM). I also served as Public Service Director for 95.7 (WTRV-FM). Mentored part-time staff through monthly air checks (review and critiques of their shows). Created energetic, listener driven, live radio shows. Produced recorded and live advertisements for local businesses. Worked directly with clients during live remote ads.
I am proficient in the use of WordPress, Google Analytics, and proprietary CMS as well as PhotoShop and InDesign. I am proficient in Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. I am well versed in utilizing Constant Contact, an online webmail service, for newsletters. I have working knowledge of Access. I am knowledgeable in the use of the donor database ResultsPlus. I have used many software applications in the course of my career including SAW (Software Audio Workshop). I learn software easily through hands-on experimentation.
