This was a one day event but required a lot of work because over 200 people were participating in and walking a mile course that was pre-set up. I was in charge of recruiting the greek communities involvement and was nominated for this position.

This job was one of my first looks into the non-profit world and how it works. It is incredibly interesting as well as rewarding as i recieve a daily set of self-fulfilment every day, as i know what i'm doing is making a difference.

Vice President of Chapter Development (2010-2011)

·Organized over 30 events for 90 active sorority members annually

·Actively worked on sorority morale between members by installing positive encouragement at the end of every meeting.

Alumnae Relations Chair (2010-2011)

·Acted as a liaison between active sorority members and alumnae

·Wrote, created, edited and proofed a Newsletter and managed a website for the general public

·Executed the creation of Alumnae network database

Social Chair (2009-2010)

·Represented Alpha Omicron Pi to all local vendors

·Successfully planned and organized over 5 events, each event had more than 150 participants

·Managed and delegated responsibilities to committee members to ensure each event ran smoothly

·Organized all details from flower arrangements to seating charts to make sure it was detailed to perfection.

I believe my work within Alpha Omicron Pi was very beneficial for my future. It gave me multiple opportunities to express my desire to work as a leader. My work with AOII was very rewarding and enjoyable as i was doing a lot of things for a group of women who held similar beliefs and values as myself.

  • Worked with multiple team members to ensure the safety and enjoyment of summer camp enrollees.
  • Created and executed daily lesson plans to fellow counselors, so they could be distributed throughout the camp.

I've worked for lifetime fitness for over four years now as a dedicated and loyal employee. I've worked in two departments and know a firm understanding of the hospitality industry because of this company. They strive to be the best of the best and their employees are the same way.

My name is Amy Beers, I'm a dedicated and determined individual looking to be challenged in the event planning world. I'm incredibly capable with handing events. I have experience with organizing and planning events with guests up to 150 people. I've worked with multiple local vendors in the Morgantown WV area, but am currently looking for a challenge outside of the Morgantown area.

I handle stress very well and am willing to work very flexible hours as i know that is required in any new job. I will be an asset to any company and handle anything in a very professional manner. I'm willing to re-locate if need be.
