 Peace Corps Volunteer, Republic of Vanuatu South Pacific

Trained to improve the primary school education by teaching side-by-side native school teachers providing 1500 hours of formal teaching. Secured funds for remote aid post, and donations for new primary library. Provided community development services including, youth empowerment camps, held teen girls' sexuality talks, met with community leaders and villagers to discuss fund raising ideas, primarily cruise ship income.  Adapted to living on a remote island without power and or running water and living within the means of a small island and weather. Selected by the Peace Corps Country Director to remain in country and serve as the Training Liaison and Technical Coordinator Advisor for the  Volunteer Pre-Service Training for additional six weeks after service.
