  • Work with the media to identify and generate stories, organise talent, research and script writing.
  • Manage public relations, media strategy and reputation management for the organisation.
  • Manage social media and generate organic reach online to amplify the Zoo's messages.

Media Adviser

Office of the Minister for Cities and the Built Environment 
  • Liaised with journalists to provide timely advice and identify stories.
  • Developed communications strategies and rolled out all external digital, branding and marketing communications initiatives consistent with policy priorities. 
  • Key achievement - Implemented digital campaigns which saw the Minister's Facebook page grow by 20% in three months with over 1000 new Facebook likes. Plus, instigated a partnership with the Bureau of Meteorology to produce a series of Facebook videos in a highly creative digital campaign. The most successful of the series was served to over 120,000 Facebook accounts. 

Assistant Media Adviser  

Office of the Assistant Min. for Infrastructure and Regional Development
  • Managed the MInister's communications plan, including over 200 announcements and events, liaised with journalists and media outlets to generate coverage of announcements.
  • Developed communications strategies, media releases, briefing materials, speaking notes, talking points, shell material and media alerts.
  • Spearheaded a rebranding effort, including market testing and development of the Australian Government’s Infrastructure Investment programme ($50 billion programme) branding ‘Building Our Future’. The branding was rolled out on signage on roads, freeways and highways across the country. 
  • Performed project management on key projects and marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinated events and provided briefing and advice to the Minister, Members and Senators. 
  • Op-ed writer and speech writer for the Minister.
