Working in Research Laboratory
International Medical University
I had this chance to do two different research (scientific experiment) while I was in Malaysia. In the first one I was the main author and in the other one I did a great part of the research.
In the first project we have been working on SVMPs (Snake Venom MetalloProteinases) and I performed tasks including Gelatin Zymography and SDS-PAGE (Electrophoresis), working with FPLC (fast protein liquid chromatography) machine, and testing hemolytic activity of different SVMPs.
Indeed, in the second research I performed histological procedure on mice hearts, which those had been treated with different drugs/compounds prior to a myocardial stress, such as grossing, tissue processing via a tissue processor machine, tissue embedding (in paraffin), tissue sectioning by a microtome, staining slides by H&E (Hematoxylin and Eosin) and Masson's Trichrome stain.
