Amanda McHenry, R.D.H.

Registered Dental Hygienist

Hu Friedy Golden Scaler Award Recipient, 2010

I am in the process of relocating to St Louis from Fort Wayne, IN with my husband. Our relocation will be completed by April 7, 2019. As a result, I am currently seeking a quality dental practice in the area where I can continue my career as a hygienist. I am confident that my clinical proficiency and solid work history make me an ideal candidate.

I graduated from Illinois Central College in the spring of 2010 with an Associate's Degree in Applied Science/Dental Hygiene. I effectively balanced a full-time career with Ameren while maintaining a 3.87 GPA. I was awarded the Hu Friedy Golden Scaler for academic and clinical excellence. In April, 2010, I achieved a score of 96 percent on the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination.

I have been working full-time as a dental hygienist for the last eight years. During this time, I have proven to be a dedicated and reliable employee and a valued asset to the dental team. I have made it a priority to build strong rapport with my patients and to earn their trust at each visit.

I held my position with Ameren for over eight years. During that time, I gained significant experience in customer service. This experience serves me well as a dental hygienist. I am well equipped to handle difficult patients and those resistant to treatment. I view every appointment as an opportunity to build a relationship and provide my patients with the knowledge and appreciation needed for the best possible outcome.

I am thankful for each opportunity I have been given in my career and I have learned a great deal from each position I have held. I am excited about this new chapter of my life and look forward to establishing my career, and my home, in St Louis.
