Amber Patton is a fashion designer currently based in New York City. She is the owner and Creative Director of her eponymous clothing line, founded in 2010. Patton brings over 20 years of experience working in art, design, retailing and customer service to her position. Her line is being acclaimed for its relaxed approach to high style and its signature female-friendly design. Patton’s pieces have been recently featured in magazines such as Vogue UK, Upscale, Marie Claire, Glamour and more.
Patton earned a Bachelor of Arts in Literature before continuing her studies in cosmetology and design. She studied cosmetics and skincare at The Christine Valmy Institute, jewelry making at The Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco, and later studied fashion design at Parsons in New York- but she confesses ultimately to being a "design school dropout". Feeling she had enough education and experience to follow the dream of creating her own collections, she chose to invest in her own company. One day, her desire is to expand the Amber Patton product offering to include cosmetics and skincare as well as jewelry, for the complete lifestyle experience she wants to share with her customers.
Patton maintains the philosophy: “Every woman should be able to experience high fashion.” Her collection pieces show their obvious value where quality and fair pricing are concerned, but most importantly, they connect to customers by keeping women’s needs in mind. In addition to value, comfort, high style and versatility, Patton continually designs her clothing with generous sizing, regardless of the standards set by other high fashion brands. Decisions like this are what differentiates Amber Patton from so many other designers and brands- the very simple idea behind everything she does is that this fashion brand wants more women to be included in the experience. She wants to give all women the chance to feel beautiful.
In addition, Amber Patton is an accomplished journalist, an aspiring art photographer, a wife and mother of two and a board member at The East Harlem School at Exodus House, which is a non-profit private school for disadvantaged youth in New York City.
