  • Obtained over 600 hours of clinical experience in the topics of: diabetes, cardiovascular, renal, geriatrics, pediatrics, pediatric intensive care unit, neonatal intensive care unit,  gastrointestinal disorders/surgery, oncology/bone marrow transplant, neurology, neurology intensive care unit, surgical intensive care unit, medical intensive care unit


  •  Counseled patients weekly in outpatient clinics, including: neonatal, pediatrics, head and neck cancer, radiation cancer treatment, and gestational diabetes via utilizing motivational interviewing techniques


  • Provided medical nutrition therapy to 70+ patients in the medical intensive care  (MICU) and hematology oncology units via collaborating with the interdisciplinary medical team and dietetic technicians daily during a 4 week staff relief time period
  •     Experience in prescribing enteral and parenteral nutrition orders under the supervision of CNSC credentialed nutrition support RDNs


  • Completed 200 hours in food service management rotations, including: patient meal services, retail food systems, hospitality, and production


  • Completed 5 weeks in community focused rotations designing and implementing nutrition lessons for children attending American Diabetes Association Diabetes Camp and Head Start.  In addition to senior citizen and homeless women populations


  • Implemented a high-fidelity simulation based training program meeting TJC standards to train patient food service assistants in meal service and sanitation protocols, after demonstrating need for more uniform training
