Amanda Alexander is a high energy, high impact business professional with strong communication and leadership skills.  She is experienced in leading change in the professional services sector and skilled in business strategy, performance improvement and people assessment and development.

Amanda is Global Head of Talent for Heidrick & Struggles, a new position to which she was appointed in September 2006, having previously been Managing Partner of Recruitment, EMEA. She is responsible for all aspects of the firm's own talent management: recruiting, onboarding, coaching and support, learning and development.

Amanda joined Heidrick & Struggles as a partner and head of the UK Professional Services practice in 2000, and has completed numerous senior-level search assignments for strategic and operational management consulting and IT services providers. She has built and led relationships with some of the firm's largest clients.

Previously, Amanda served as a management consultant in the London offices of KPMG for 10 years. She worked across all the firm's lines of business, spending several years seconded to the Corporate Recovery Practice, where she specialized in devising and implementing asset realization programs during the early 1990s property crash.

After moving into KPMG's Business Transformation practice in 1996, Amanda led the implementation of issue-based consulting and coached the business development team. She was appointed Partner in 1997 and in 1998 conceived and built KPMG's Corporate Restructuring Consultancy, combining performance improvement, business transformation and change management consulting with financial advisory services.
