I love to travel internationally. I enjoy meeting and working with people of various cultures. I believe we learn so much about ourselves and can put life into perspective by listening and observing other cultures. My many travels include: Hong Kong, China, Italy, France, Monoco, Mexico, Costa Rica, Virgin Islands, Aruba, Barbados, and various cities in the US.

I enjoy collecting artwork, jewelry, and neat artifacts from the countries that I have traveled to. I needed four suitcases to get all my things back from my 2 week visit to China!

I have been told that I am "verbally affluent" by my peers and superiors over the years. I truly believe it is a gift to have the unique communication skills that I have. I am at ease with anyone! I have had the priviledge of working for a company that was home to many, many different cultures. I learned so much and will always treasure my time there.

Springtime in the South, you just cannot beat it! I love to take long drives up in the mountains and visit the many wonderful festivals and activities that happen in Georgia. The people are so friendly and make the BEST fudge and apple pie you have ever tasted!

Places I Have Visited

Kristin Buehlman

“Amanda is an extremely hard worker and very detail oriented. She takes pride in her work and the projects that she delivers. I have always had positive experiences with Amanda. Her personality and care for others continually shows through in her work. I would recommend Amanda for any job that she pursues as well as welcome any opportunity to work with her again in the future.”

Stacey Brazee-Cost

“Several years ago Amanda interviewed with HomeBanc for a position managing our fledgling 501 (C)(3) foundation. Amanda had been referred by HomeBanc associate who had been “wowed” by her, and she proceeded to “wow” us in the interview process. “Wow” was a term frequently used in HomeBanc and reflected our desire to recruit people who exuded enthusiasm and energy who were so positive and motivated that you were simply “wowed” by them….Amanda was all that and more. Amanda came into my organization and researched the requirements of our new “tax-exempt” foundation, bought books and went to seminars; all to allow her to guide this new and important element of our business in the right direction. She solicited assistance from other functional areas such as Finance and Accounting to ensure decisions were appropriate and supported. She solicited both internal and external organizations to provide necessary services and kept in constant communication with vendors and contributors extending her thanks and those of the HomeBanc Foundation. During my tenure, she created an annual report, a web site, collateral materials and initiatives that invited other groups to participate in our community service projects (UGA Football Team, GA Tech Football Team, real estate companies, etc.). Amanda has an energy level that is abundant and she never fails to add enthusiasm and optimism to a group. She is a self-learner, a quick study and a team builder. She is happiest when in the company of others and her personality ensures that even the most reserved in the group eventually becomes engaged. Amanda proved to be extremely adept at handling shifting priorities and increased work load. When the work load became extreme, Amanda took classes in various software programs to allow her to improve her efficiencies and handle the demands vs. many who would have simply asked for the work to be reduced. While I've not worked directly with Amanda recenly, I know that in the ensuing years she successfully completed her MBA and I have no doubt that the quality of her work continues. I believe Amanda is an asset to any organization interested in creativity, efficiency and the creation and development of new business areas.”

Mark Scott

“Amanda is one of the most impressive and professional people I have ever had the pleasure to work with in the marketing, community affairs and employee relations arenas. Her knowledge of community affairs, marketing, public relations and employee relations were crucial to the huge success she had running HomeBanc Mortgage Corporation's community affairs efforts. From start to finish, every project Amanda ever worked on was executed with results that exceeded expectations and that served to solidify HomeBanc as a major Southeast community partner and one of the best places to work in America. Amanda knows how to get things done and when she doesn't, she's quick to reach out to the people who do and do research to educate herself. She also has that rare, natural ability to lead people and get them lined up behind her to accomplish a task. It takes a special person to motivate 200 folks to come out on Saturdays in the summer to build Habitat homes in 90-degree heat! I can't imagine anything Amanda couldn't do once she'd set her mind to accomplishing it. Amanda is a pleasure to work with, a true professional and a natural leader and she would be a tremendous asset to any organization.”

Stephanie Porter

“Amanda is a passionate, energetic leader who never avoids an opportunity to learn something new. Great team player who works well with all levels of management. Great work ethic. Fantastic communicator. I highly recommend her.”
