Bachelor of Arts in Communication

Washington State University

At WSU, I certified in the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication. I graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2011 with a B.A. in communication with emphasis in public relations and a minor in psychology. Throughout my college years, I made the most out of my education. I participated in numerous clubs and activities, including serving as an executive officer for the WSU Jay Rockey Chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America, and I was an active member in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Through the NSCS, I was invited to attend the 2009 Presidential Inauguration in Washington D.C. I feel this experience sets me apart from many individuals. I also attended the 2009 PRSSA National Conference in San Diego, California and served as an official assembly delegate at the 2011 PRSSA National Assembly. These professional development and leadership opportunities provided me with experience in being able to carry myself in a professional manner. I also volunteered for the Center for Civic Engagement providing academic, well-being and social support for students 12 and younger of a low-income housing community. While making the most out of my college education, I held a part-time job on campus since freshman year. I also maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.9.
