Civil Engineer Manager

Mississauga, ON Civil Engineer Manager, Civil Department As a Lead Civil manager I obtained, reviewed and interpreted critical content for due diligence, estimating and budgeting: civil, geotechnical, environmental, survey, traffic, landscaping, electrical budget, and work plans in order to inform decision making and to provide accurate forecasting. During the drawings production I was accountable to review site, landscape and site electrical plans prior pre-consultation meetings and submissions to municipalities. Managed consultants' contracts, scope and billing maintaining projects within budget. ± Updated Walmart Canada Site Development Standards and implemented it across the board; this document is currently the primary guide for the external consultants as well as vendors to deliver a draft site plans to be considered for future projects ± 100% of the projects under budget and on time ± As a result of my review the real estate managers were in a better position to negotiate deals and establish vendor commitments in favour of Walmart ± to minimize the changes during construction stage and ensure compliance with Walmart's standards
