Assistant Treasury/Cash Manager
Yale University - Central Treasury
Purpose: Supervise all cashier functions in Treasury Services and provide back up coverage and assistance to the Treasury Manager.
·Manage staff responsible for deposit functions, lockbox deposit and petty cash tellers.
·Train, cross train, develop, guide and mentor staff in University policies and ensure adherence.
·Schedule and time entry for staff making sure there is adequate coverage.
·Audit, research and analyze disbursements by cashiers from petty cash funds and also auditing travel advances and travelers check disbursements.
·Provide system expertise and troubleshooting to cashiers and help desk assistance for some Oracle system functions.
·Assist in managing University credit card processing systems.
·Manage office supplies inventory for department.
Assistant Cash Manager Duties:
·Perform all daily cash management functions and coordinate cash requirements with the investments office.
·Initiate outgoing wire transfers, foreign and domestic, and record the incoming wire transfers to the general ledger.
·Familiar with all bank accounts, their purposes and maintain relationships with banks.
·Proficiency in the use of banking software.
·Assist in managing the University’s petty cash system and perform daily reconciliations.
·Assist in analyzing monthly web statements; reconcile and monitor the general office budget.
