Over the last 20 years, I have held business development leadership roles within the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region with various firms. I have established a strong track record of building successful market-centric organizations from scratch. Lusail Investments SPC

Established Lusail Investments as a Private Equity/Venture Capital investment firm in 2006.

Successfully launched  and managed Instrata Capital in 2007, an alternative asset manager and exited asset through industry sale in 2014.

Created Foods Unlimited in 2015 unique concept within the F&B industry within the MENA Region.  Built the business and achieved  revenues in excess of $ 1M within the first 12 months of operation and an annual growth rate of a 10 % year to date.

Managing Director, Business Development & Investor Relations

Instrata Capital

Built a c. $100M asset management firm from the ground up and turned it into a regional market leader through keen competitive analysis and offering breakthrough solutions; went on to win “Best Infrastructure Asset Management Company, GCC 2013.”

Developed Instrata Capital's business plan and succeeded in attracting strategic shareholders.

Structured and successfully launched the region's first essential Infrastructure fund including the establishment of the investment vehicle, preparation and review of fund the documentation.

Raised commitments from institutional investors for the firm's first fund Bunyah, GCC Infrastructure Fund (vintage 2008).

Recently realized very attractive returns on an individual portfolio holding of infrastructure investments.

Originated and executed investment opportunities, developed the acquisition strategy and deal structure.

Evaluated potential investments including the review of business plans and corporate governance framework, reviewed investment proposals, bid submissions and negotiated share purchase agreements.

Instrumental in the success of another startup, personally bringing in 60% of total sales and skyrocketing profits from $65K to $300M in under 6 years.

Co-managed a $550M Sharia compliant GCC public equities portfolio.

Coordinated Sharia compliance of the portfolio and reported to internal/external Sharia board and fund investors.

Led team in structuring and negotiating the commercial terms with partners leading to the successful launch of a $200M Sharia Compliant oil futures fund.

Involved in all facets of the creation of presentations and supported the Relationship Management team with visits to investors up to the successful close of the fund.

Managed a portfolio of institutional Investors as an Appointed Director on the investee company board of directors.
