Internet entrepreneur and software developer Alma Tuck pursued an education in business at Utah Valley State College (now Utah Valley University) and Dixie State College of Utah. Mr. Tuck went on to found two entrepreneurial adventures focusing in Web design, development, and marketing: CaptureQuest and Creative Internet Concepts. He left Creative Internet Concepts, which designed and built an e-commerce hosting platform, in 2003.
In 2004, Mr. Tuck joined Newtek IT based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as a Senior Developer and Architect. During his time with Newtek IT, a company that focused on developing financial software, he oversaw and trained numerous junior programmers. He structured and developed a complex data warehouse that was Sarbanes-Oxley compliant and featured multiple languages and platforms. Additionally, Alma Tuck demonstrated great technical skill and assisted in creating an Executive Dashboard reporting tool and wrote SOAP/XML clients and servers using C#, Delphi, Java, and PHP.
From 2004 to 2007, Alma Tuck worked as a consultant with various companies, contributing his expertise in software development. He served as a Senior Developer for Remedy MD based out of Cottonwood Heights, Utah, where he created reusable back-end logic components. Mr. Tuck also taught PHP object-oriented design techniques to the company’s other developers. Before leaving in 2005, Alma Tuck also designed and built an automated billing system. Following his time with Remedy MD, Mr. Tuck joined Datamark, Inc., a company that provides online marketing for colleges. As Senior Developer, he handled the development and implementation of StrongMail Systems’ e-mail solution for custom campaign options.
