  • Completed over 600 hours of clinical rotations including rotations in cardiology, diabetes, geriatrics, neurology, gastroenterology, nutrition support, critical care, pediatrics, and the neonatal intensive care unit
  • Relieved a full time registered dietitian during a four-week period by taking over and managing the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) and a general medical floor 
  • Obtained experience writing parenteral nutrition prescriptions for 2-3 patients daily during the 4-week staff relief 
  • Obtained a total of 200 outpatient counseling hours in the bariatric, pediatric, and transplant clinics

Community

  • Completed over 200 hours of community rotations through various projects including a cooking demonstration for Rush employees, creating a nutrition lecture for seniors with COPD, engaging in a nutrition activity with children at a Head Start center, and working at a type 1 kids diabetes camp for a week
  • Gained experience in sports nutrition by working on inventory, monitoring and interpreting data on dietary supplements, and creating educational handouts for athletes by volunteering at Northwestern Athletics
