My passions in life are dance and nutrition. I have a tremendous heart for serving others and community service. I am very interested in fitness, Pilates, and healthy living. Two of my goals in life are to complete a triathalon and to become a certified Pilates trainer.

Initial Goals

My goals for the next five years are to graduate with honors in May 2014 with both degrees in Nutrition and Dance. I am working to participate in the Coordinated Program in Nutrition so that I am able to complete my dietetic internship while I am a student. This makes it possible to sit for the Registered Dietician Exam once I graduate. After graduation, I hope to dance professionally in Chicago, New York, or Los Angeles for a few years.

Long Term Goals

After dancing professionally for about five years, I hope that I can use my experience and apply it to the Nutrition field. I ultimately want to become a dietician specifically for athletes and dancers. Having seen so many dancers struggle and become extremely unhealthy to be a certain weight, I believe that my experience in the dance field will help more than just any dietician. I understand the demands and lifestyle of this profession. My experience in dance will also help my work with athletes because I understand being in a physically demanding lifestyle.

Work Philosophy

My work philosophy is strongly rooted in servant leadership. I believe that if you are placed in a leadership position, you serve those who work under you. I strongly believe that I am to do each task to the absolute best of my ability, and I set very high standards for myself. I am a determined individual, and never settle with anything less than my best.
