Since dental practice administrators are in charge of many of the daily operations of a dental office, I had to work to build strong communication and multitasking skills. I needed to be able to communicate with patients and dentists, manage the office, oversee personnel, and perhaps even take responsibility for minor patient care. In the office and over the phone, I dealt directly with patients to ensure they have a pleasant and successful office visit. I also retrieved patient records for the dentist and scheduled appointments. I handled the office's accounts and patient's insurance payments, and I was responsible for office marketing and finding new clients.
My tasks in brief were as follows:
1. Marketing, budgeting, personnel management and, most commonly, general office duties. 2.Answer phone calls, keep payroll records, schedule appointments, and deal with customer complaints.
3.Typical office tasks like data entry, filing, faxing, mailing, and word processing.
4.Discretion was an important part of my job since I generally had access to sensitive patient information, such as financial and insurance records.
5.Handle marketing and advertising ideas on an infomercial concept.
