Originally from Lithuania and born on May 1, 1918, Alex Spirikaitis completed a year of study at Panevėžys Polytechnic School in his hometown of Panevėžys before pursuing his business education in the United States. Along with completing a Bachelor of Business Administration at one of the main campuses in Ohio’s well-regarded public university system, Alex Spirikaitis gained significant work experience as an employee at several businesses in the greater Cleveland area. During college, he took on a long-term job at a local shoe retailer, earning the company’s sales award several times as well as a promotion to Assistant Manager. He also worked as a Blacksmith at Cleveland Frog & Crossing Co., known today as Pettibone Ohio Corp., and contributed significantly to the factory’s productivity while forging railway equipment for the Cleveland institution.

As a longtime resident of northeastern Ohio, Alex Spirikaitis remains involved in the Cleveland and Euclid communities through his contributions to Lithuanian Scouting and The American National Red Cross. In his spare time, he counts cooking, fishing, and boating among his favorite activities.
