For nearly two decades, Alex Scroppo has served as senior vice president of the Backplane and Cable Division of Sanmina Corporation, a global firm with more than 43,000 employees. In his executive role with the company, Alex Scroppo is responsible for all aspects of his division's performance, including staffing, forecasting, capital expenditures, and material acquisition. Reporting directly to the president of the Interconnect Division, he has led a profitable division quarter after quarter.
Mr. Scroppo holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering with a minor in mathematics from Southern Methodist University, where he graduated magna cum laude. During his undergraduate career, he actively participated in the engineering and mathematics societies.
In his free time, Alex Scroppo pursues a number of outdoor activities that include cycling and hiking. In addition to participating in an Iron Man triathlon, he has climbed and summited Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Cotopoxi in Ecuador, the tallest active volcano in the world.
