The United States retains the nickname “America the Beautiful” not only because of its vast landscapes and shiny cities but because of the vibrant culture that decorates our nation. The Directors and Supervisors of Les Gourmets 2009 attempted to capture this beautiful spirit with paint and paper through modern interpretations of photographs from the National Archives.
