Alexandra Chapman donates much of her time and energy to charitable causes in the Victor, New York, area. For instance, Chapman gives food to families in need through the Victor Food Cupboard, as well as volunteering at the F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, New York. Alexandra Chapman has competed in several races and walks for charity. She participated in the George Eastman House Photo Finish 5K to benefit cancer research, the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk, and the Pumpkin Walk to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Chapman has also taken part in the William Lawler 5K Run/Walk in Rochester, New York, which promotes research into finding a cure for Huntington’s disease. Alexandra Chapman has a strong academic career at Victor Senior High School. She made the honor roll all four quarters as a freshman and the high honor roll her entire sophomore and junior years. Chapman also earned Advanced Placement credit, which requires recipients to maintain a 3.25 grade point average or better on four exams. For her scholastic achievement, concern for others, and leadership abilities, she received the Smith Book Award, given by the alumnae of Smith College in Massachusetts. Chapman has traveled extensively. She toured Spain with her classmates as a junior; other destinations included 2 trips to Hawaii and 10 visits to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Alexandra Chapman has many spare-time interests. She enjoys reading the poetry of Robert Frost, playing guitar, and writing songs. Other favored activities include snowboarding, skiing, soccer, biking, and swimming.
