BIOGRAPHY

ALEXANDRA has been in the entertainment industry for 35+ years. She’s passionate about film and the roles women play, in front of and behind the camera.

She trained in London in dance, acting and theatre, founded a theatre company at drama school and performed classical plays at the Edinburgh Festival and toured Italy.

During the ten years she spent in Los Angeles, Alexandra acted successfully in film, TV and voiceover. Her credits include James Cameron’s TITANIC, MR HOLLAND'S OPUS and Luc Besson’s FROM PARIS WITH LOVE.

Alexandra returned to the UK in 2006 and after a stint as a series regular on CORONATION STREET, she packed it all in to become a screenwriter and film director. Alexandra realised very quickly that her years in front of the camera had been her front row seat on filmmaking and that all the while she'd been remembering her lines and acting, she'd also been watching how the shot was set up.

Her award winning short, BOXER ON THE WILDERNESS, screened at 15 international film festivals. The eight minute film is a teaser for the feature screenplay she has written, called THE WILDERNESS, about an Olympic boxer from Hackney Wick.  Her debut feature film - WIDOW'S WALK - is a supernatural thriller set in her native Suffolk. It stars Miranda Raison (Spooks, Murder on the Orient Express), David Caves (Silent Witness) and BAFTA winner Virginia McKenna (Born Free).

Alexandra's Patron page is where she reviews films and talks about filmmaking and acting and is film critic for TheMuttonClub.com
