Human Resource Responsibilities

  • Prepared employment contracts and sent out first day communications to all new hires of all levels
  • Managed new hire orientations and ensured all new hire paperwork was completed and processed correctly (upwards of 30 people per week)
  • Provided a positive onboarding experience for new hires and answered any questions
  • Managed MSP, RRSP, and extended benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations

    Payroll Responsibilities
  • Ensured new hires or transfers between offices are set-up on payroll
  • Administered sick days, vacation, DOILS, and bonus programs
  • Processed leaves of absences, salary changes (including retroactive salary changes), and promotions to ensure they reflected accurately in payroll
  • Provided timely and on-going payroll reports to management
  • Ensured new enrolments, changes, benefits and terminations are completed in a timely and accurate manner in payroll and HR systems
  • Maintained Total Access pay statement site, assisted with staff password reissues, and responded to other staff inquiries regarding payroll in a timely manner as required
  • Independently managed and administered payroll across our Vancouver and Montreal offices (approximately 1000 employees)
  • Followed up with department managers to ensure time sheets were submitted before payroll deadlines
