I am an IT professional with decennial experience. I am currently responsible for creating business partnerships in High Performance Computing and Big Data services for CINECA, the Italian leading supercomputing centre. My partners are mainly R&D engineers in manufacturing companies, preferably medium or medium large enterprises. Current topics of collaboration are Technical Computing (Computer Aided Engineering), IoT, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics. In the past I lead a R&D team of software developers.

The team mission is to foster innovation and innovative processes that leverage on HPC infrastructure in industries focusing on Computer Aided Engineering applications. My role in the team is to find potential partners,to  identify funding opportunities (including regional or European funding instruments), to arrange internal policies and communication and to build a partnership on an Open Innovation model.

I'm responsible for High Performance Computing cloud services provided by SCS/CINECA. My customers are mainly R&D departments in leading manufacturing companies. 

  • Developed a PaaS offer for computing services. 
  • Launched a new SaaS offer for CAE applications. 
  • Managed technical support, both for pre and post sales support. 
  • Increased number of customers from 3 to 14 at the end of 2014.
  • Increased computing services revenues by 60%.

As member of a R&D team, I contributed to design, implement, test and release a new decode library for 2D imaging scanners product line. I learnt to design and implement algorithms with industry QA requirements in an embedded software contest. With my contribution, my employee could:

  • Achieve a reduction of 3rd party licensing fee costs.
  • Patent some of decoding technologies developed.
