· Under ever changing business requirements and the rigors of the DOI I successfully completed under budget the ebusiness component of the Georgia Fully Insured project for expansion of the Lumenos product to a more extensive consumer base resulting in a projected net benefit of $10mm over 5 years.

·Managed the Blue View Vision program rollout in NY and GA to allow the NY/GA BCBS plan to expand the product portfolio to the National market and leverage Well Point’s national vision operating model. This ebusiness project was completed on budget and on schedule utilizing SOX and the EPMO structure.

·Launched a new “low-end” PPO product, named “Smart Sense”, in the Colorado and Nevada Individual markets. This product was introduced and completed on budget and ahead of schedule.

·Managed, mentored and directed a staff of 35 onshore junior project managers, business analysts, developers and testers and two offshore development firms comprised of 75 remote contractors and one offshore testing firm.

·Reduced processing turnaround for Small System Change Requests (SSCR) for the enterprise by 40% via process re-engineering resulting in a $300,000 in annual savings.

·Designed and deployed a new IT Governance organizational structure in product deployment rollout and production support for Claims Management, Enrollment and Customer Care Program which reduced implementation costs by 18% and 3 days per month by overcoming resistance and breaking down isolated silos of power through outstanding change management.

·Responsible for enterprise system deployments process optimization for applications and environment provisioning in mainframe and Unix/Windows server environments and the organizational governance and management of business users, project managers, business system testers, infrastructure engineers and developers supporting Siebel, Websphere, J2EE/java, middleware and application developers.

·Making their world more productive and effective via constructive control and enforcing tough decisions.

·Defined the business requirements, created the project definition and tracked development effort, analysis and Q/A testing of a pay for performance payroll system that generated $30k per month in savings.

·Responsible for the internal and client facing requirements, design, development and implementation of a B2B web services/.Net Order Entry project which generated $1.2mm in additional business and saved $28k per month in direct labor reduction.

·Implemented digital voice transcription to generate $3k week savings in dictation services.

·Re-engineered business operations across the enterprise to improve efficiencies and streamline operations involving tenets of Six Sigma and process improvement metrics. Improved Daily Sales Revenue cycle time by 2 days increasing cash flow $50k/day.

·Mentored and developed into outstanding IT professionals 25 direct reports in Infrastructure, Business Analysis, Project Management, Help Desk and Application Development, Training and Operations.

·Responsible for defining and developing improvements to the workflow and processes for enrollment and membership in Individual Sales of Medicare & over 65 Healthcare Insurance. This includes all processes from customer web portals, direct sales, telesales and agent web portals.

·Managed and deployed process improvements and web site implementations to improve revenue stream by eliminating manual paper processes and automating application enrollment for Medicare supplement and 5 BCBS healthcare plans.

·Involved in key operational metrics and measurements for performance improvement across internal and external customers. Included dashboards for day’s outstanding, government metrics and application inventory by age.

·Designed the business level process architecture and data sharing between web portals, enterprise imaging and Siebel to reduce workflow costs and improve bottom line results

  • International Project Director of Six Sigma and ITIL strategic technology planning and implementation in e-business to solve complex internal and external business challenges between GE Technology Solutions and GE Medical Operations.

About Me...

A technology warrior with fifteen years experience in battle assisting organizations grow and adopt technology, improve processes and manage change. I am responsible for leading the IT and business vision, internationally and domestically, while managing the people equation to achieve a balanced project success.

I have been in demand as the interim CIO for 2 Fortune 100 corporations. I have personally managed to success 115 business and technology projects which all generated bottom line results and were achieved on or ahead of budget and schedule. I have also managed consulting practices in IT Strategy, Logistics and IT Development.

I have led many; up to 65 staff members on a project, managed the money; up to $12mm projects and mentored those around me to greater success.
