Alan S. Cohn entered the healthcare industry over three decades ago and is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Avesis Inc., a managed healthcare company. As the CEO, he strives to further the company’s mission to provide customized vision,dental,and hearing care plans for a variety of employee benefit and government sponsored healthcare plans. Alan S. Cohn began his work in the corporate sector of healthcare after receiving his JD from the University of Baltimore. He joined his family’s business, later to become Spectera Inc., following his graduation from law school. In 1992, he joined Avesis and has since led the management of dental, vision, and hearing plans that insure millions of individuals and families from thousands of employer groups and government sponsored healthcare plans. As a leader in the organization, Alan S. Cohn ensures that Avesis’ growing network of over 25,000 screened, selected, and credentialed providers meet the healthcare needs of subscribers all over the United States. Balancing his duties with Avesis, Alan S. Cohn also oversees operations as a Managing Partner with KAB Associates, a firm that assists in business development and turnaround. Alan S. Cohn and his associates at the firm have assisted companies all over the country in an array of industries, including auto rental franchising, print and direct mail, medical center management , and mail service/physician dispensing pharmacy. As a Managing Partner at KAB Associates, he has helped incubate, restructure and revitalize business models for clients, resulting in improved financial status. In addition to his career, Alan S. Cohn enjoys travelling to places across the United States and destinations around the world. He takes great pleasure in physical activities and likes to ski and work out at the gym. Additionally, Alan S. Cohn likes to spend time at his home in Maryland with his wife and three grown children.
