In addition to my Technical Recruiter responsibilities, I do the following:

  • Facilitate weekly one-on-one meetings with each recruiter to discuss successes, challenges, best practices, disseminate company information, maintain morale.
  • Championed and scheduled SmartIT recruiter representation at two IT user groups in the Indianapolis area in order to increase SmartIT exposure to the market and create brand awareness.
  • New recruiter training
  • Monthly recruiter meetings - train, challenge, vent, promote teamwork
  • Assign new jobs to recruiters and manage/adjust workload accordingly
  • Act as sounding board for Indy recruiting team and offer suggestions for searches, unique places to source for candidates, etc.
  • Recruitment team training - Boolean search techniques, social media, candidate newsletter template, ATS [Sendouts]
  • Lead daily call with Account Executives to establish priorities for the day
  • Searched for, interviewed, and made recommendations on new recruiter hires in 2013

  • Successfully hired nearly 200 skilled and experienced professionals nationally in the following verticals: Information Technology, Healthcare, Insurance, Customer Service, Logistics, more.
  • Sourcing quality candidates at market rates utilizing job boards, social media, referrals, user groups, networking sites, Boolean search and our internal database [Bullhorn, Sendouts]
  • Expert in sourcing platforms such as: Dice, LinkedIn, CareerBuilder, Monster, Indeed, etc. to attract technical applicants.
  • Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified candidates to quickly respond to clients' technical needs.
  • Displaying solid communication and relationship building with recruiting colleagues, recruiting managers, resource managers, and hiring managers.
  • Building technical knowledge focusing on Development and Architectural levels of recruitment. Strong knowledge of recruiting Java Developers, Network Engineers, Technical Project Managers, .Net Developers, Systems Administrators,  etc.
  • Deciphering client needs and applicant requirements through position description understanding and comprehension of technical skill qualifications.
  • Prescreening qualified candidates by reviewing job history, identifying career interests and salary requirements
  • Providing company information, salary and benefit negotiations while maintaining trust and rapport with candidates.
  • Building and maintaining consultant relationships to ensure a smooth hiring process and contract period
  • Resolving all issues surfaced by consultants and clients in an efficient and timely manner
