The capstone or this program was a collaborative research project, completed over 5 months as part of a 18 person team consisting of the graduation candidates for the MPH Biostatistics and MPH Epidemiology programs. The focus of the project was the factors associated with the utilization of mental health services in the adult population of Puerto Rico for the years 2004-2005.

A training video describes the process of helping a patient use specialized equipment to receive a preliminary reading of bone density. A simulation in which a professor posed as a patient served as a practice exercise. The training was complimented with a live bone density screening activity with real patients as part of a health fair at Hendry Regional Medical Center.
