  • Led the acquisition and management of a 777 seat theatre, including developing and prioritizing minor capital improvements, equipment inventory assessment and replacement, and management of event logistics and personnel.
  • Assisted in the management of an 80,000 square foot athletic and convocation center (4,500 seat arena) which hosted University athletic games and special events, touring productions, commencement ceremonies, and vendor/exhibition style trade shows.

  • Designed, planned, and executed an array of corporate, social, university, and educational events including national touring productions, high profile university special events, social receptions, regional and national conferences, lectures/presentations, and galas.
  • Conducted event consultations with event planners to translate client requests into scaled room diagrams, work orders, a comprehensive list of contracted services, production schedules, and a contract estimate for all requested services and space rentals.
  • Increased the quantity of revenue generating events hosted within the facility from fiscal year 2011 to fiscal year 2012 by 200% (77 to 231 events).
  • Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training and supervision of a student event services team that provided event management, guest management, technical support, audio-visual services, event security, event setup, and fire regulation compliance.
  • Developed emergency evacuation plans and associated training for fire emergencies, active shooter, and bomb threat situations.
  • Increased event related revenue by 800% from fiscal year 2010 to fiscal year 2012.
  • Daily management of the core operations for the Lane University Center, a 70,000 square foot student center with an 8,000 sq/ft multi-purpose room/ballroom and 13,000+ sq/ft of meeting and event spaces that support more than 6,400 event reservations annually.
  • Coordinated university departments and external vendors for facility and event operations, including Physical Plant (Maintenance, Carpentry & Electricians), University Police (parking and crowd control), custodial services, catering, audio/visual production, and CSC security (contracted security firm).
  • Developed printed informational materials, interactive social media web pages, and taglines to market the experience of hosting an event at the Lane University Center, which resulted in the Lane University Center being repositioned as one of the premier social reception venues in Western Maryland.
  • Responsible for the design, project management, and integration of installed audio/visual equipment for all major conference and event performance spaces included within the $17M renovation of the Lane University Center.
  • Developed and lead a Risk Management Committee that met weekly to review and assess the policies and practices associated with high risk events.
  • Maintained a functional, safe, and code compliant work environment.
  • Supervised two full time employees and 36 student employees.

  • Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training and supervision of students employed in the following capacities within the CES production team: Artist Relations, Technical Services, General Production, Front of House, and Production Intern.
