Language Open Learning

I developed Language Open Learning over an 18 month period. Producing and editing  300 online English language video lessons. This is currently being marketed internationally in Thailand, South America and China via online marketing and traditional marketing to individuals and through language centers.

  • Web design and production
  • Video editing and production
  • Raising finance
  • Utilising social media marketing channels and Press releases
  • Integrating English language courses online
  • Arranging translations of the site to include Spanish, Thai and Chinese

In the first four months of soft launch the aim was to build an initial database of potential users through social media and online marketing. Language Open Learning grew the Facebook followers to 11,000 and registered users of the website and courses to 1100 within eight months.

KPT Social Media

KPT Social Media grew from the need of my associated companies to provide a platform for corporate training in Thailand. Since then I have developed the business to include a consultancy service to various industries and have been included in blogs highlighting the top 100 social media companies worldwide - the links are included here.

I was entrusted to provide social media and online marketing training and presentations for major businesses, and their clients, in Thailand including:

  • International Training and Consultancy Company
  • International Advertising Agencies
  • Sponsorship Agencies
  • International and national  sports events

In addition, we have worked with other businesses in Europe, especially the Real Estate industry to provide online marketing initiatives including a simple real estate marketing video campaign and also corporate video production.

Obelisk International are a property development company with interests in Europe and South America. My position here was to establish the financial services department of the business working in as a team with and reporting to the Board of Directors.

Responsible for over 10m euros in mortgage applications.

The main day to day areas of business included:

  • Establishing and maintaining connections with financial providers
  • Training and monitoring sales staff
  • Negotiations with financial providers to achieve preferential financial rates for clients.

International Financial Adviser

Capital Financial Partners

Capital Financial Partners were a leading financial services provider in Europe. My position was to counsel clients, including mainly property purchasers, into the financial aspects and obligations of buying property abroad.

I provided seminars to groups of property investors in addition to one to one counselling. In addition, I established connections with international real estate companies in Europe to work in partnership for their clients.

In a sales capacity, my sales results means that I was consistently in the top 5 in the company and as a consequence was invited to help with the opening of the sales office in Italy. This immediately achieved excellent sales results and was in the top 3 of the offices worldwide.

I worked in the Portugal, Italy and Bulgaria offices as well as assisting with UK sales seminars and standing in for the offices in Turkey and Romania. I was responsible for over 50m euros in mortgage applications.

Independent Sales


On relocating to Portugal, and latterly Spain in May 2004, I was involved in various locations as an independent sales consultant in the real estate industry.

This mainly included direct sales and indeed, in my first position I was asked to supplement their sales management team which involved managing a sales team of 10 sales staff and helping close sales with their clients. 

In addition I was a contract consultant for a real estate company to assist with the development of their associates program. This involved establishing connections and associations with various industries to provide clients and leads which included presentations to board room level with potential associates.

Highlights include publishing editorials in Financial Times, Financial Adviser trade Magazines, exceeding targeted number of client referrals and gaining three industry leading UK companies as associates.

I ran a successful financial adviser company in the UK and in the first year of trading was voted Top New UK Financial Consultant 1995. In the first two years, due to the success of the business, I was invited to the UK Financial Advisers Sales conventions.
