I am passionate about science and applied technology. In the last 15 years I have gained wide commercial and academic experience on developing tools for geographic systems, ranging from the acquisition and management to the extraction and analysis of geospatial data. As a lecturer in the UPV/EHU University, I have taught on the usage of GIS and the development of applications, as well as carrying out research work for the automatic extraction and processing of remotely sensed data for the detection and mapping of burned areas. I am currently the main responsible of the ‘Geoinformation Analysis’ postgraduate course in the UPV/EHU . International collaborations in research projects have led my teaching in various universities and for the local administration. I believe in continuous development and enjoy collaborative work and problem solving.
