FNP Clinical Experience

Lincolnville Regional Health Center: Family Practice

Provided care to patients of all ages in a primary care setting.   Assessment, diagnosis, planning, interventions and evaluation of outcomes of acute complaints as well as management of chronic issues. Performed physical exams for adults and well child visits for children ages 3 months to 18 years.  Performed pelvic exams for women's health and assisted with various procedures such as cryotherapy. 

Emergency Department: Penbay Medical Center

Assessed and coordinated care for emergency department patients of all ages.  Interpreted ECG's, X-rays, and lab values for appropriate diagnosis and disposition.  Performed various procedures including splinting, assisted with laceration repair, incision & drainage. 

Minor Treatment Area/ Walk-In: PenBay Medical Center

Worker's Compensation and Minor Treatment Area (MTA).  Provided employee health/worker's compensation injury evaluation to local area employees; main focus was orthopedic injury from trauma or repetitive use. 

Also provided care for acute patients who were considered minor emergencies.  Evaluated fractures, sprains, URI's, pharyngitis, etc. (Approx. 60 hours of clinical time spent in this dept.)
