Please visit my Twitter (@AlexHerbots), and Blog (http://socialnetworkingmeltingpot.blogspot.com/) on social networking to gain a further understanding of my character and ability to use social networking to it's full advantage.
A responsible, challenging position in a professional environment providing opportunity for interface, growth, and application of organizational, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.
As a communication undergraduate at Saint Edward's University in Austin Texas with a PR/Advertising specialization I aim to work in a career that will allow me to emphasize my strengths and to practice any weaknesses so that they too become strengths. I have always portrayed hard work and commitment to any project that I embark on. My years of schooling and community service projects have conditioned me to put my heart and ability of communicating and working with others into every component of my life and work. My ability to handle various tasks at any given time has been demonstrated through the balancing of school, work, and family responsibilities. I have great prospects and expect that my character in combination with work ethic will make me a key employee to any company that I may have the privilege to work for.
Dance
In high school I was on the dance team and dance has always been an outlet for me. I am no longer a part of a specific dance team but I try to get to dance classes ranging from ballet to modern dance when I can.
Baking
I have an extreme interest in baking and intend to go to culinary school after I get my undergraduate degree and before I get my Masters. Baking is an opportunity for me to try knew things and practice creativity.
Dynamic of Social Networking
I have recently gotten into how social networking affects our lives. I have even secured and internship in which I will work to get a small advertising company involved in social networking.
Travel
I have always liked to travel and enjoyed exploring various cultural differences. During the Fall '11 semester, I studied abroad in Florence, Italy and this opportunity presented me with a wonderful growing experience. I have traveled around Europe and the UK and have particularly enjoyed comparing the inter-cultural interactions between different countries and the US.
Art
Art has always been an interest to me. I can't count how many art kits I received from family members when I was young. As I matured I realized I was missing artistic ability, but the interest stuck. I have taken 3 courses in art history and go to art museums often to see new exhibits and to learn and experience things from a different perspective.
