I graduated from Purdue University in May 2011. I am currently seeking a position in public relations, marketing or event planning.
During my time at Purdue, I enjoyed taking two service-learning courses that allowed me to work with a non-profit in the community. I also took numerous classes that allowed me to develop skills in new & social media, persuasion and research methods.
I also found value in making sure that I had experience outside of the classroom by engaging in Purdue's daily independent student newspaper, The Exponent, where I was the assistant campus editor and the campus editor. I found my experience at The Exponent to be not only beneficial to my writing skills, but also in allowing me develop, foster and learn from relationships with professionals in numerous areas of the media & public relations. I was able to see the kind of relationships that I hope to develop with my clients in the future.
Most recently, I have had the opportunity of interning in digital marketing, something that interests me greatly. I have had the opportunity to manage campaigns, interact with clients & gain valuable knowledge in the ever-growing sector of digital marketing.
I am aiming to find a job that keeps me on my toes & always allows me to be learning something new. Communication fields are always changing & I take the initiative on a daily basis to stay up on the latest trends.
