ITAP Apprentice

DePauw University

The Information Technology Associates Program (ITAP) is Highly selective internship program that blends traditional education with cutting-edge experiential learning in technology. Students spend their first year in the program participating in rotations in different IT departments on campus. After the first year, students can apply for internships on and off-campus to further develop technology skills.

My experience so far:

• Designed websites from scratch, performed customer relations for tech services • Interviewed, filmed, and edited for video production services  • Create edited images and animations with Photoshop and Flash

McDermond Center for Management and Entrepreneurship

The Center hosts the Robert C. McDermond Lecture Series, which brings acclaimed industry leaders from a variety of fields to meet and speak with DePauw students interested in management, business and entrepreneurship.

• Maintain website by updating and fixing errors within BigTree

• Created promotional program video and presented the video to Board of Directors

• Take calls and answer questions and concerns from faculty, students, employers, alumni and potential

Management Fellow Program

DePauw University

The Management Fellows Program blends a traditional liberal arts curriculum with real-world experiences. Students may major in any discipline, but are required to take courses in economics, accounting, statistics and ethics. In addition to the required course work, Management Fellows learn from speakers who participate in the McDermond Center Lecture Series and complete a full-time, semester-long, credit bearing internship.

The First State Bank

Worked part-time for non-payed internship for First State Bank of Oklahoma and during my internship I learned the process of how a bank Is ran. I was allowed exclusive rights to attend business meetings and  shadow the personnel as they went about their jobs.

  • Shadowded key bank leadership (including president, bank chairman, department loan officers) to learn day-to-day bank operations.
  • Gave basic introduction and training to the heads of each department on how to use the Iphone 5.
  • Created excel worksheet for the financial institutions customer birthday cards.
  • Helped with the customization of the banks mobile application with Vice President, Lori Elms
  • Inside tour of Bank On It, a corporation that specializes in a banks technology system and provides technological support to many banks in the region.

Art of The Penalty Kick

I created this website in order for little kids I coach to take a penalty kick in soccer. I used Photoshop to edit the pictures creating a unified theme. Created the entire website from Google Sites. Created simple Flash animations to demonstrate the essentails of taking a penalty kick along with providing real life situation video. Here is the link to the website:
