Summary

  I am an advanced peer collaborator that has excellent work ethic and communication skills. I'm highly advanced in computers and various types of technology. I went to an all technology-based high school where I went all four years of high school. I am a person that has excellent organization skills as well as leadership qualities. I am a hard and dependable worker. That is not afraid to ask questions. I am always willing to help others that have confusion in their work. I also have office experience. I was a student worker in the attendance office at my High School for two years. I was in charge of answering the phone in a professional manner as well as writing down messages. I was in charge of handling the front office. As well as assisting students, teacher and parents.

          I am currently employed by the City of Abilene. I work as a Library Assistant. I assist customers with registering for library cards and using the self-check system. I also answer questions about library accounts and efficiently solves problems for library customers. I also provide prompt and friendly customer service to all patrons and assists them with a variety of tasks relating to their use of library materials. I also work with the circulation team to handle the constant flow of returned items. I also serve at the circulation desk by checking in and checking out library materials, registering patrons, collecting overdue fines, and assisting patrons with directional and “ready reference” information. I input data into database regarding library patron information and library materials. I also assist the public in the use of the library’s online catalog and other computer equipment and software. I also assist with holds, claims returned and missing items reports on a routine basis; clears materials as necessary.
