Founded in 1997 in New York City, Dress for Success helps disadvantaged women attain economic independence by providing professional attire, a support network, and professional development. To date, the organization has served more than 650,000 people around the world. Dress for Success supports women in over ten countries, while maintaining a strong base of activity in the city where it got its start.In New York City, Dress for Success sustains four branch locations, in Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn. For local residents, Dress for Success provides ample opportunities to collaborate as a client, referral partner, donor, or volunteer. In addition, email updates and a newsletter (“The Briefcase”) keep community supporters up-to-date on events, opportunities, and accomplishments.Those who wish to support the mission of Dress for Success can find many ways to contribute their time, talents, and resources.
