-Directly responsible for a Central Region Staff of 1,200 located in Headquarters and branch offices, staff that provides “shared services” to all regions of the organization.
-Strategic Partner, Consultant & Advisor to the 3 Central Executive Vice Presidencies (Planning & Finance, Development and Administration). Responsible for the Succession planning of the 3 tier executive positions.
-Responsible for the design and implementation of the HR global strategy and policy for a worldwide work force of 26,400 employees, according to CEMEX guidelines and its international growth plans.
-Responsible for the H.R. Central Region compensation & benefits, global staffing and recruitment, training, management / leadership / employee development, employee relations, H.R. Information Systems and personnel administration.
-Expatriate Management of the Central Region and the International Offices in New York, Houston, Spain, Switzerland, Singapore, and Central & South America.
-Responsible for HR CEMEX Way (Methods & Systems Optimization and Integration, and its Organizational impact). Member of the Governance Team. Conceptualization, Development, and further Implementation in Corporate, Regional and Local Operations. The organizational impact resulted in a reduction of 1600 positions worldwide.
-Performed several Due Diligence and Integration Programs to accomplish the Business Process Improvement strategy of the company.
