A business professional with more than three decades of experience, restaurant proprietor and hospitality consultant Adam Block is dedicated to excellent service and high-quality food. Long committed to the food and beverage industry, Mr. Block graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver in 1982. Over the years, Adam Block has been involved in the development of hundreds of restaurants both domestically and internationally, offering diversified and unique experiences. In 1986, Adam Block established Block & Associates a consultancy firm dedicated to the hospitality industry. Since its establishment, Mr. Block consulted on more than 1,200 worldwide projects, varying from restaurants, marinas, golf courses, sport and recreation concessions, and lodging. Services provided to Block & Associates' clients include tenant searches, lease negotiations, management consulting, strategic planning, litigation support, planning and development and asset management. As an avid supporter of sustainability, Mr. Block's recent projects focus on local farming and environmentally responsible practices. Mr. Block applies these practices in his current projects at both the Sandton Sun hotel in Johannesburg, as well as in his own operations at Print Restaurant and the Press Lounge in New York City.As the owner of Print Restaurant and The Press Lounge in the Clinton/Hells Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan, Adam Block strives to expand the local food movement. Establishing the restaurant in 2009, Mr. Block maintains a list of foods and ingredients at Print Restaurant that are seasonally sourced from local vendors and farms through his full-time forager who identifies and gathers these ingredients. Successfully appealing to locavores, Print Restaurant achieved a rating of 25 for food and decor by Zagat in it's first year of operations; it also earned a listing from the prestigious Michelin Guide.
