Summary

In the 20+ years working with the Dynamics GP community, I've worn many hats. "Administrator", "Architect", "Developer", "Trainer" has been used to describe my previous roles, not uncommonly all at the same time.

My portfolio includes simple interface modifications, custom “bolt-on” applications and complex designs aggregating and integrating data from disparate systems to be used for BI reporting, master record and transaction creation. In addition, I’ve implemented, upgraded and supported systems of all sizes.

To assist clients (VAR and end-user alike) to streamline process’ and add functionality, I’ve leveraged a strong knowledge of

• Dynamics GP (techno-functional)
• Dexterity (the proprietary programming language of Dynamics GP)
• MSSQL/MSSQL Reporting
• And more

I've written comprehensive technical documentation, user guides and training materials and have instructed end-user training classes for all levels of expertise. I take pride in my communication skills, not only verbal and written, but also the ability to listen, subsequently ensuring an understanding of the need before embarking on a solution.

Greenway Health

For more than 30 years, Greenway Health has provided healthcare solutions to the medical industry with a suite of products providing innovative Electronic Health Record management, ease of use Practice Management and clinically driven Revenue Cycle management.

Highlights

  • Development - Created a bi-directional, real time integration between Salesforce.com and Dynamics GP, syncing master records, creating invoices, orders etc. from a third party Time and Expense Salesforce.com product.
  • Data cleansing - After many years of upgrades and to some extent, neglect, the Dynamics GP data was not in the best shape. Orphaned records, blank or incomplete records and the like created an unstable, error prone environment.
  • Database Administration - The original database design was not set up efficiently. Through a reworking, the inefficiently was resolved which resulted in a better user experience. This was not specifically a Dynamics GP task, as some of the changes were simply database best practices. I also instituted a disaster recover plan and backup survival plan to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Reporting - Leveraging the power of MSSQL, I created a Report Server to off-load client-side reports and rewrite them as MSSQL reports, providing an easier mechanism to view reports without requiring an extra seat license for users who simply need to report.
  • Dynamics GP Administrator - Assisted and trained users on Dynamics GP usage, observed users in their daily routines, offering advice on how to perform the task more efficiently and looked for opportunities to create custom methods to perform the task(s) systemically.
  • Communicator - Liaison between Operations and IT/Business Services. By leveraging my outstanding communication skills, provided technical and product information able to be readily understood by any level of individual, in addition, offered alternative solutions that would not only answer the need but provide a better return on investment.
