AUDIT

• Creates work products such as audit analysis, client correspondence, memoranda and other working papers that document the engagement procedures performed, the findings, and the results of those procedures. • Completes allocated tasks in accordance with the budget, or provides an explanation as to why budget exceeded. • Ensures that the engagement in – charge or manager are informed about important audit or accounting issues on a timely basis. • Works with other members of the fieldwork team in an effective and efficient manner on a day-to-day basis at the client’s premises. • Understands and evaluates processes and related controls. • Executes tests of controls. • Obtains background, historical, and other relevant information on the areas to be audited. • Gathers preliminary information on risks and controls for an individual internal audit project or assignment. • Participates in the communication of information to management of the auditable unit. • Assists in preparing a project work plan that assigns team member roles. • Prepares an audit approach that describes in detail the nature, timing, and extent of our internal audit procedures for an individual audit project. • Reviews work of other team members and challenges their understanding of audit areas and processes to assure adequate coverage. • Assists in preparation of the final report and enhances its content based on application of knowledge and experience. Present final report draft to E&Y internal audit management team. Participate in presentation of report and audit findings to client management. • Develops and maintains relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels and is committed to continually improve client satisfaction. • Possesses knowledge of engagement objectives and expectations as co-developed with the client. • Understands and applies E&Y’s internal audit methodologies, use of technology and tools. • Works with E&Y Internal Audit Management team to identify key areas of risk and appropriate coverage for client. • Assists in the implementation of the audit approach and scope for individual projects, monitors objectives, and revises as appropriate. • Makes recommendations for new audit techniques to analyze the adequacy of controls and the effectiveness of operational procedures and processes. • Works with internal audit team in the development of creative, practical, and cost-effective recommendations for improvement. • Participates in client meetings under direction of E&Y management. • Works on special projects or consulting engagements concerning significant corporate issues as directed by E&Y internal audit management team. • Learns client business processes and engagement history. • Participates in developing internal audit reports and deliverables and ensures work is completed within agreed upon time frames. • Stays abreast of general business/economic developments and new pronouncements/standards, to gain an understanding of their links and impact to the client’s business. Understands and applies technical standards. • Becomes familiar with the services the firm provides and actively looks for future service opportunities with client. Listens carefully to client questions and needs. Brings potential opportunities to the attention of the E&Y internal audit management team. • Use of electronic working papers, audit tools and sources of knowledge in an appropriate manner.
