Millwright / Lead Hand

Elliott Turbomachinery Canada Inc.

-Repair and rebuild industrial rotating equipment including:  steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, pumps and gear boxes.

-Shift lead hand: supervise a crew of 2 millwrights,2 machinists and a welder on afternoon shift

-Dynamic Balancing: Operate balancing machines with rotor capacity's from 100 lbs-50,000 lbs balancing all types and sizes of rotors. 

-Rotor Assembly: Precision inspections, disassembly and reassembly of small turbine and compressor rotors as well as large rotor advanced rigging and stacking and unstacking. 

-Machining: Perform most tasks required in a manual machine shop including small manual lathes, milling machines and precision grinders. Assist machinists with larger equipment advanced rigging and set ups on larger manual machines. 

Field Service:  On-site overhaul and rebuild of turbines ,Gear boxes and compressors of all sizes. On-site rigging, lifting and safety as well as travel.

-Welding and Fabricating: Can do basic MIG, TIG and stick welding as well as grinding and fabricating
