Dr. Aaron Farrokh of Dental Arts of Avon began his education by earning his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Rochester in New York, where he graduated cum laude in 1998. After earning his Bachelor’s degree, he enrolled in the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in Farmington, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2002. In late 2002, Aaron Farrokh, DMD, went to John Dempsey Hospital, the medical center affiliated with the University of Connecticut, where he completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in June 2003. In addition to his formal education, Aaron Farrokh has certifications in several currently popular cosmetic dental procedures. One of the most requested procedures that Dr. Aaron Farrokh is certified to perform is Invisalign, a modern tooth-straightening method offered at Dental Arts of Avon. This procedure is especially popular among adults who don’t want traditional braces.Patients can start the Invisalign process by seeing Dr. Aaron Farrokh at Dental Arts of Avon and having a digital mold of their teeth made. This process involves pictures, impressions, and x-rays, taken to determine the position of the teeth. After the 3-D image is created, the initial aligner, which is a clear retainer shaped like the teeth that snaps right on to them, is made and shipped quickly to the patient. Dr. Aaron Farrokh then uses 3-D imaging to design a series of aligners that will, over the next year, straighten the patient’s teeth. The patient comes in every two weeks or so to get a new aligner and every six weeks to make sure the teeth are being straightened appropriately. Dr. Aaron Farrokh also is certified in using LUMINEERS, a technology for repairing chipped or cracked teeth. Dr. Farrokh belongs to the American Dental Association and the Hartford Dental Society.
