Manages large scale IT life cycle programs from inception through rollout, including multiple project teams consisting of 10-300 resources for large client engagements. Accountable for estimating, forecasting, budget and financial management, staffing and resource management. Designs data analytics and big data solution platforms, enabling customers to quickly process, access and make sense of terabytes of structured and unstructured data. Directed the program lifecycle development efforts of the data analytics and SAP BW data warehouse transformation program at EMC. Transformed the sales, commissions and manufacturing groups’ ability and consume data and use it as a competitive advantage. Worked with key stakeholders to drive through their requirements and vision for the future of EMC Big Data analytics.

  • Created a Data Lake for mass consumption of both structured and unstructured data

SAP Professional Services Data Analytics Program

Led the data analytics process and development integration for EMC’s professional services groups to align with their new SAP PS suite of tools. With a team of 30 process leads, analysts, architects and developers, worked with professional services leadership team and their user communities of over 5000 to drive requirements through user adoption of their newly architected suite of business dashboards and key metrics.

  • Managed to the $7 million data analytics budget
  • Lead the integration of the new SAP PS technologies into the data analytics platform- BW on HANA
  • Presented the solution and key updates to EMC’s executive steering committee.

Corporate Merger of EMC and RSA  SAP ERP Systems

Developed and implemented SAP BW analytics process and technologies for EMC and RSA stakeholder community, including statutory reporting, manufacturing and product planning, professional services management, sales rep and commissions analytics and corporate executive dashboards.

  • Delivered a solution that maintained RSA unique differences while aligning with EMC corporate guidelines.
  • Rolled out and supported the solution to the 2000 RSA analytics user community.

ERP Conversion; Oracle to SAP

Architected and implemented the SAP application stack replacing the legacy Oracle environment utilized by EMC for the past 20 years. Aided in successful go-live for over 15,000 worldwide corporate users. 

  • Introduced a new program-wide testing process to utilize design documentation, the program user and consulting community, and new tools to test all aspects and scenarios of the newly implemented solution. Coordinated the documentation and execution of 4 key cycles of testing with over 200 resources across 5 key business verticals and 3 SAP environments
  • Managed and provided executive metrics on the solution stability and readiness for rollout to all corporate users
  • Lead member of the Business Intelligence TIGER team tasked with creating an alternative backup solution for EMC’s statutory and corporate financial reporting. Delivered the backup solution prior to go-live and worked with the team to integrate the secondary solution into the challenged initial design.

Business Analytics and Report Solution

Design, develop and support a reporting and analytics solution for the restaurant chain. A full suite of metric, dashboards and financial reporting collated from 4 back office systems managing financials, order management, inventory, front of the house reservations, kitchen performance and HR.

  • Integrated and normalized information from the source systems to align all restaurants with in the chain and allow management to standardize process
  • Created business metrics for regional management to increase sales, decrease costs and improve overall customer satisfaction.

Business Systems Integration Program

Directed the cutover and deployment team responsible for SAP, four data warehousing solutions and 50 interfacing applications in a FDA regulated environment on an Accenture managed $200 million dollar engagement.

  • Deployment included 9, 000 development objects, large-scale conversions for master and transactional data, code deployments, business process rollout, security integration and 8000 end users.
  • Developed the deployment strategy and project plan with over 10, 000 steps executed by over 250 resources world wide in a confined time-frame to minimize risk of business downtime.

Data Warehouse Integration

Designed the data warehouse architecture and managed and led the implementation of the data warehousing solution.

  • Consolidated four disparate data warehouses with five different user front end reporting tools into a consistent, accurate and timely business management solution.

SAP BI 7.0 Upgrade

Managed the technical SAP Business Intelligence Data Warehouse upgrade and migration.

  • Worked with senior management to gain funding and the required approval for the project
  • Developed the solution architecture to upgrade the production and non-production BI environments with fully redundant data centers and high availability
  • Responsible for meeting the FDA regulatory standards 21 CRF part 11 for system development and documentation.
  • Worked with the business owners to determine the system requirements to support the 10,000 corporate users
  • Managed the team of 30 resources responsible for design, development, documentation, testing, implementation and support. Resources ranging from Business Analyst, Database Administrators, UNIX admin, BASIS, BI backend developers and front end business liaisons.
  • Provided management of existing infrastructure and team while the upgrade was in process.

Built a custom application for the pioneering of electronic medical records. Managed the design and development of an application to assist Radiologist in viewing and marking X-rays. Directed a project team consisting of 2 developers. Responsible for working directly with the business users to determine application design requirements. Deployed the application in the end users' environment.
