Prospective PT student
Cleaning equipment and providing services for athletes during practice. Services include providing basic rehabilitation services such as DMS (Deep Muscle Stimulator), electrical stimulation, ice/heat, stretching, and assisting athletes with rehabilitation exercises.
Observing inpatient rehabilitation, cleaning equipment, and assisting PT/PTA with patient transportation, gait training, and other rehabilitation activities.
Provided assistance with data entry for an ongoing research project with the university's Doctorate of Physical Therapy program.
Assisting a 4th/5th grade teacher with instructing students through math and writing lessons. Assisting a 2nd grade teacher with instructing her students and working individually with the ones that are falling behind. Specific 2nd grade subjects include social studies, reading and writing.
Responsibilities Included: creating new drink recipes, increasing customer satisfaction, creating a welcoming atmosphere, developing good customer interaction skills, continuously refining knowledge about coffee and tea.

Outpatient Physical Therapy with an emphasis in stroke and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. [One Day Observation Experience]
Observed: Vestibular Rehabilitation, Aquatic Therapy, Gait Analysis
Responsibilities Included: working with children ages 1-15, planning activities, organizing presentations on health education and drug abuse, using medical knowledge during community home visits for the elderly, taking care of 32 children under the age of 7 for 6 hours/5 days a week.
It was during this experience and my time in this country that my desire to pursue physical therapy emerged. I discovered my passion for helping others overcome their injuries and health conditions in order to achieve overall functionality and reduce chronic discomfort.
