My interest include going out with friends and family. I have a strong passion for motorcycle riding and football. My favorite college team is the Alabama Crimson Tide. I also have a strong desire to work and use my hands to accomplish something whether that be fixing a friends car or building a dog house for a neighbor. I love to help people in any way I can.

My name is Matthew Priest. I am a junior at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. My focus is Construction Management with a minor in Business. I strive to work hard and make the work environment around me a pleasant and efficient one. I am a true believer in working hard to accomplish all goals and task set forth by my superior. All jobs that I have been blessed with the ability to work in, I have been able to excel into a leadership position to lead others. I love to work with my hands and help and serve the community in all aspects.    I am also a skilled law enforcement officer with the United States Military Police Corps. I have been a Military Police Officer since 2007. I have had deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of military police operations. As a military police officer, I am skilled not only in garrison law enforcement work, but also combat operations and the ability to communicate with other military units in the area of operation to overcome an objective and complete the mission. I currently have a secret security clearance.

304th Military Police Battalion in Support of Operation Enduring Freedom

I served in Kandahar, Afghanistan under the ISAF IMP attachment. I work diligently with Romanians and Slovak military in performing law enforcement duties around Kandahar Airfield. My mission is to uphold Kandahar Airfield standard operating procedures. I also work with the Bulgarian force protection in maintaining the protection of Kandahar Airfield. I conduct escorts with prisoners and pertaining to moving larger amounts of cash to and from places. I conduct traffic stops on a current basics as well as writing military police reports. I work diligently with other military forces as well as police officers from other countries.

Finally, I motivated the employees to make the work environment not only successful, but also enjoyable.

Involved in combat support for the 91st Military Police Battalion. My main mission was to train and supervise the Iraqi Police as well as Iraqi Army. Gather intelligence for my subordinates as well as perform garrison work on the forward operating base.

I have the ability to perform and execute the basic functions of a Military Police officer. This includes all forms of law enforcement skills as well as executing combat arms military police activities. I have worked with many NATO forces to complete the mission in the United States as well as Iraq and Afghanistan.
My skill include the overall construction of residential buildings in the Cookeville area. I am very proficient in framing as well as the competition of the interior of houses. My awards include two scholarships from the Skills USA State Competition. I have a strong passion for the overall construction of structures as well how they could become more reliable.
