Troubleshoot all network issues to include IP networking protocols and hardware issues.

Ability to prepare and write  needed SMOPs to perform maintenances to be run in the maintenance window.

Review maintenance changes for accuracy of instructions and recommend changes to support operational guidelines. 

Work with and directly lead external vendors, third parties, and associated departments when needed.

Work with the following routing/switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, VLAN’s and MPLS.

Execute, implement technical changes and support maintenance activities.

Provide summary reports and communicate status of activities to all levels of management. 

Proficiency in provisioning application Tools.

Responsible for monitoring tools and ticketing preset outage or impaired thresholds for proactive and reactive fixes.

Apply configurations to network device's during the maintenance window.

Prepare SMOP's and configurations for upcoming CMTS maintenance's.

Strong ability to solve complex issues without supervision.Perform IOS upgrades.Standing up new CMTS' utilizing IP control, Port Allocation, and national config templates.

Provide technical leadership and guidance with regards to practices, procedures, techniques, support, and mentoring to teammates.

Utilize Spectrum alarms to identify, ticket, escalate, or resolve network issues.

Troubleshoot CMTS's for load balancing, fiber-node, DSG tunnel, and other customer impacting issues.

Perform license reclaims and adds using the Cisco portal.

Ability to communicate with headend technicians and local engineers to resolve issues with network devices.

Fail over SRM's, SRE's, SUP's and linecards as needed to diagnose equipment and prepare RMA's.

Proven ability to multitask and work collaboratively with a team.Monitor and ticket network devices using Spectrum and TTS.

Add or move IP scopes for capacity and node moves. 

Developed a database to identify video issues for the entire West Division. 

Implemented a HTML study guide and assisted several coworkers with their advancement.

Provide guidance, assistance, and solutions to teammates.

 Willingness to handle any high priority events responsibly.

Operate diagnostic tools such as Watchtower, Scout, PathTrak, and TTS.

Familiar with functions and equipment in a HFC broadband network.
